Hotpoint and Creda Washing Machine Error Codes

E10: Machine is not filling with cold water. Check that the cold water inlet pipe is not kinked or that the cold tap is not turned off

E11: Machine is not filling with hot water. Check that the hot water inlet pipe is not kinked or that the hot tap is not turned off

E12: This means the mixed fill is not working – check both hot and cold fills as above and check for a faulty inlet valve

E13: water inlet fault, could be filling too slowly, perform similar checks to E12

E14: this means the water is not heating – check heater element or thermistor.

E15: the water is not pumping out, or it is pumping out too slowly. Check the pump for an obstruction or any objects that might be jamming the pump. Also check that the drain hose is not kinked or that the outlet is not blocked.

E16: Means there is a very high water level – try turning off the water supply, and have inlet valve checked or replaced, or the water level sensor checked/replaced.

E17: This fault code means that the door not closing properly, or that the
door interlock is faulty.

E20/21: The termistor resistance drifted out of range (faulty), or the ambient temperature is below freezing.

E30/31:  Refers to a motor problem – thinks to check: motor brushes, drive belt, tachometer or tachometer magnet, motor relay or PCB (triac motor control).

E40: Means the water level is not high enough during the heating cycle – you should check the supply, the inlet valve, and the float level sensor. Also check the water pressure is high enough to fill within time limits of logic checks.

E41: This is a water level detect sequence error – check the same items as for E40, also check for a jammed pump.

E50/51: These are model specific language and programmer codes that have not been loaded/saved in programmer memory correctly. You will need to book an engineer to reprogram the unit.

F01: These are codes for the Aquarius and Ultima models. It could mean a faulty motor or a faulty motor control board. The motor tachometer could also be faulty.

F04: This a possible filling or water level problem. Check water inlet pipe, shut-off valve, the outlet pipe, the pump or pump filter for blockages if you can get to it . This fault could also be the water valve solenoid which is causing the machine to fill too slowly.

F05: this is a draining problem, check the pump filter, the pump, the outlet pipe, or the u-bend for kinks or blockages.

F07: This refers to a problem with the heater control or heater relay, or a heater element problem.

F08: A heater control or NTC (Thermistor) temperature sensor problem.

F11: This is a pump related problem. The pump is unable to empty water from the machione properly. Again check all hoses for blockages or kinks. Also check the pump is working correctly

F13: The Thermistor or Blower motor is faulty or the blower unit intgake filter might be blocked and the blower unit might be overheating.

Samsung Washing Machine Error Codes

4E: This is a water supply error code. This means the water level is not at the correct level within 10 minutes of the start of supply. Check the inlet hoses and the water supply. You can clear the error code by turning the machine off and on again

5E: the water is not pumping out, or it is pumping out too slowly. Check the pump for an obstruction or any objects that might be jamming the pump. Also check that the drain hose is not kinked or that the outlet is not blocked.

0E: This is an over-flow error, it occurs when the water level is too high – try turning off the water supply, and have inlet valve checked or replaced, or the water level sensor checked/replaced. It can be cleared by turning POWER switch OFF. Water is drained prior to POWER switch OFF.

UE: An unbalance error The load is unbalanced, try removing the washing and redistribute the load.

HE and HE1: This is a water heater error

1E: A water pressure switch error. The drain pump will run for 3 minutes if this error occurs.

C3: This error occurs when the water supplied is not at the appropriate temperature for the cycle – for example if the water is too hot for a delicate cycle.

11E: Water leakage error – check the machine for leaks

TE: A thermistor error or problem

3E: This is an error that occurs when the motor is restricted
